A former beauty therapy student who was taught at 久久国产福利一区二区三区 has won a national award.
Andrea Filkor, 27, from Hungary scooped the late last year.
The Mez艖k枚vesd resident 鈥� who is looking to relocate back to the UK this year – studied in Ipswich on two courses between 2019 and 2021.
The former hospitality and care worker did the courses to expand her knowledge of the beauty industry after gaining a nail related qualification back in her homeland before moving to Ipswich.
Andrea said that she looks back on her time at 鈥榲ery fondly鈥� claiming 鈥榯he teachers were kind, supportive and genuinely cared about our progress – which really helped our confidence鈥�.
After college, she started working in the spa industry but returned to Hungary in 2021 鈥榝or family reasons鈥�.
Yet Andrea feels the move helped open up opportunities for her and she is now working as a holistic skin therapist, salon owner, and international brand independent beauty educator 鈥� whilst also offering free workshops to schools.
Thanks to her efforts, she received this national award (sponsored by BABTAC and CIBTAC) that 鈥榬ecognises professionals in the early stages of their careers who show strong potential and dedication鈥�.
On winning the award, she said: 鈥淚 was incredibly honoured to receive the Dermalogica Rising Star Patron Award.
鈥淎fter being nominated, I completed an online introduction and qualifications stage. I was genuinely surprised to be selected as a finalist, and I was invited to attend a face-to-face practical assessment and interview. The awards ceremony took place in November. Unfortunately, I couldn鈥檛 attend in person due to distance – but receiving the trophy and certificate is a career highlight.鈥�
鈥淲inning, to me, means embracing continuous growth. In the beauty industry, success isn鈥檛 just about climbing the ladder 鈥� it鈥檚 about staying curious, mastering the craft, and sharing what you learn. I believe in combining hands鈥憃n skills with sound theory, while always keeping pace with trusted, forward鈥憈hinking brands.
鈥淔rom what I鈥檝e been told, the Rising Star Awards don鈥檛 just celebrate talent 鈥� they recognise potential and impact. I feel incredibly honoured to have won the trophy, let alone being named a finalist. I鈥檓 very grateful for this recognition, and I can鈥檛 wait to give back to the community.鈥�
After scooping national acclaim, Andrea is now hoping to relocate back to Britain with the long-term aim of opening a spa alongside a training space.
Andrea continued: 鈥淚 want to create a place where clients can relax and professionals can feel supported while learning new skills, although I’m looking forward to collaborating with brands, colleagues and magazines. I also plan to continue my education by completing my Level 5 Education and Training qualification.鈥�
On advice to others, Andrea said: 鈥淜eep learning, stay curious, and take opportunities to develop鈥攂ut also remember to enjoy both your work and your life. Balance is just as important as ambition.鈥�
She also praised one of her former tutors, Madeline Broughton from 久久国产福利一区二区三区 for her support adding: 鈥淢adeline鈥檚 calm nature and constant encouragement helped me build confidence during my studies, and she played a huge role in inspiring my desire to teach. I鈥檓 very grateful for her support and belief in me.鈥�
On Andrea鈥檚 success, a proud Madeline said: 鈥淎ndrea was a hard-working student who made the most of her time at college and has now gone on to win this national acclaim. Her determination and passion to succeed and give back to other via teaching in the future is an inspiration to us all.鈥�
